The Studio.
Who is behind the studio?
Roseline Doublet.
Describe your style.
My style is feminine, elegant, graphic.
What are your main inspirations / influences ?
I like to work with plants/flowers a lot, so I search a lot on Pinterest for plant inspiration! But it can also be a museum, what I see in the street, Instagram... I think I'm unconsciously influenced by everything I see!
What sets off your passion for prints?
Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to draw, but I was more interested in fashion design and finally I realized that pattern design would allow me to be more creative and that there were less limits to the imagination...and I also think that going to buy fabrics with my mother (she used to make clothes for me) must have unconsciously pushed me to this path).
Your first print memories.
The Marché Saint-Pierre in Paris and its fabric stalls!
Describe your creation process.
When I start to get an idea, I always go on Pinterest to collect a lot of pictures to create a mood board.
Then I make sketches, scan and rework them with Photoshop or Illustrator depending on how I want them to look.
What is your favorite medium to work with and why?
I often work with a fine felt-tip pen. I like the fact that I can modulate the line, sometimes very, very thin or thicker
While working, what do you listen?
A lot of French variety and not the most recent ;) but also pop. I put myself on Deezer.
What is your job's favorite part ?
The whole creative process!
What type of product / sector do you mainly work for ?
I work for the women and children's clothing industry, bed linen/household linen...
On which fairs do you exhibit?
I have been to Première Vision, Print Days of course and would like to exhibit at Interfilière and maybe Heimtextil too!
Your best fairs memories.
I have plenty but the bests are:
My first fair in Sept 2019. I met some great girls there and learned a lot from them!
And my first sale of course :)!
What do you want to accomplish in the future?
Meeting other beautiful people, having nice collaborations, continuing to develop and learn more and more!
What advice would you like to give to new designers who are just starting out?
Don't give up! It's not easy but we all have our own style so there's no reason why it can't work if you do your best.
