What is your background?
I’m graduated from a French illustration’s school but for a while I’ve been working for photography and branding. It took me years to discover pattern design creation and to get back to my first skills : the illustration.
Describe your style.
I like to dive into so many inspirations : from bold floral seventies tapestry to traditional berber pattern for the high-atlas, but also botanical illustration or nature observation. I like to follow the flow for my creation !
Which place inspires you the most?
The mountains and the nature where I’m living.
What sets off your passion for prints?
A burn-out ! While I was passing thought a specific hard time in my life, the only thing I could still do from my day was drawing patterns on my iPad. I still took me months before to think I could live from pattern, but the start was there !
Your first print memories.
The tapestry from my Granny’s home. The ceiling of my room was very hight, and the night, when I was going to bed, a huge sixties floral pattern tapestry was standing in front of me. From my 7years old, I was watching at these designs before to sleep, following the tracery, trying to figure out the pattern .
Describe your creation process.
My creative process is quite organic and every creation are unique. Sometimes is create with some strict specifications, sometimes I completely follow intuition, there’s no rules here !
What is your favorite medium to work with and why?
Ipad ! I used to draw and paint a lot (with watercolor ! ) but I have to admit, when I create patterns I love drawing on my iPad.
While working, what do you listen?
Ohoh ! I have a great playlist I listen in repeat. You’ll find there music as various than reaggeton, Johan Sebastian Bach, Celtic harp or country. I love multiplicity !

What do you want to accomplish in the future?
Continue pattern creation and explore painting
The biggest challenge you had to handle as a designer?
To find my first clients ! When you start and are not participating to fairs, to reach people by mail is quite a difficult job.
What advice would you like to give to new designers who are just starting out?
Express your reel personality in your creative process. Your singularity will make the difference !
